For a variety of reasons – well, one – tall blonde American women with their own blogs scare the living shit out of me. I’ve learned that the best approach is to avoid eye contact and to do whatever they ask you – which is why when I was accosted in Soho House last week by Traveling Geek, Susan Bratton, I was powerless to resist.
Susan’s request was simple: she’s been wandering around taking photographs of people and asking them the question “Why do you do what you do?” The answers are displayed here. And she wanted me to take part.
“Sure, I’ll do it,” I said.
“Great,” said Susan, “why do you do what you do?”
“Honestly?”
“Honestly”
“Well, honestly, it’s the only way I can get laid.”
Silence.
“Um,” said Susan, “I can’t publish that on my site.”
“Ok then, I’ll put it on mine…”
Did I mention I’d been drinking?
