…A place for Clare and I to post ‘dispatches, musings and dictums’ on whatever subject we see fit. Vox is our response to the countless emails we’ve received from smart-arse bloggers who ask how we can possibly claim to understand the people of Blogistan when we’ve never even lived there.

Well, fine. Point taken. Here we are. Happy now?

A quick mission statement, if you don’t mind…

Vox is not a corporate blog, nor is it really a blog at all. It’s a collection of words about things we have in our head that we want to share. Some of the posts will be bloggy in nature. Especially if it’s 3am, we’re still in the office, and we’ve been drinking. But others will be fully-fledged articles. There will probably also be travel reports, responses to TFP related things in the media, and maybe pictures of Clare’s children.

Ok, it’s a blog.

It doesn’t in any way, however, reflect any kind of ‘official TFP position’ on anything. Our lawyers have asked up to make that clear. Especially if it’s 3am, we’re still in the office, and we’ve been drinking.

What else? Oh yes, there will be guest blogging. We’re lucky to have quite an impressive, and growing, collection of authors, editors, backers, sponsors, partners and friends. Some of them have things to say too. Wherever possible, this will be encouraged. We also plan to start a tradition (if a tradition can be started) whereby new authors and TFP staff members will introduce themselves on Vox.

This policy will last for approximately three months before it falls into disuse.

Ok, that’s all for now. It’s late and we all have work tomorrow. Today.
