Why, whenever I want to get an early night (tonight, say) is there always a great film (The Royal Tenenbaums, say) starting after midnight?

Ingmar Bergman died this year, as did Norman Mailer, Kurt Vonnegut and Pavarotti (so famous he’s already in my Mac’s built-in spell checker). And so who do the BBC put next to the front page link to their ’star names we lost in 2007′?
